No matter the time of year, there is nothing better to lift your spirits, make for a festive moment, or enhance a romantic soiree or wedding, than fresh-cut flowers. Dotted throughout the Hudson Valley, small-scale flower farms provide fresh-cut floral bouquets at local markets, flower shops, farm stands, and gift shops. These Upstate NY farms offer CSA’s, they encourage visits to “pick-your-own,” attend workshops and provide tips for flower care. Some also cultivate botanicals for use in all-natural skin and body care products.

Diana Mae specializes in unique and hard to find flowers with a long vase life. You can expect parrot and peony-type tulips, lisianthus, sturdy sunflowers, medicinal herbs, a dazzling array of dahlias, and more. Diana Mae Flowers offers Hudson-Valley grown seasonal fresh flowers and herbs spring, summer and fall at the Beacon Farmers’ Market and through CSA subscriptions, as well as cultivated flowers and dried flowers.

Stonewood Farm is a small-scale diversified, certified organic vegetable and flower farm. You can purchase the farm’s flowers, plus produce and eggs at biweekly pop up sales on the farm and at Marona’s Market in the Village of Millbrook.
